Practical Nursing program exposes you to a variety of experiences to prepare you for employment in nursing homes, hospitals and other healthcare settings. Program Learning Outcomes: Implement one s role in ways that reflect integrity, responsibility, ethical practices, and an evolving identity as a nurse committed to caring, advocacy, and care. Demonstrate appropriate written, verbal, and nonverbal communication. Integrate knowledge of social, mathematical, and physical sciences, pharmacology, and disease processes. Provide patient centered care under supervision across diverse populations and healthcare settings. Minimize risk of harm to patients, members of the healthcare team, and self through safe individual performance. The following are also required for admission: Current licensure as licensed practical nurse is required A high school diploma or GED One year of high school-level biology and chemistry One year of current practice experience recommended
